Valerie “Val” Idehen is the Founder and CEO of ValStyle Inc., a full-service entertainment consultancy operating across television, film, digital media, music, fashion, content strategy, talent management, E-commerce and dispute resolution.

A seasoned television producer, director, and development executive, Val brings over 20 years of industry experience delivering premium content for platforms including Lifetime, VH1, WE tv, E!, BET, SoulPancake, and YouTube. In 2023, she served as VP of Unscripted at Hot Snakes Media, executive producing VH1’s My True Crime Story, narrated by Remy Ma. Previously, she held senior development roles at Propagate Content and SoulPancake / Participant Media, following earlier tenures at 51 Minds, Comedy Central and MTV.

Val’s development credits include Sisterhood of Hip Hop (Oxygen), All About Her with Angela Rye (Quibi), and Send Help (ALLBLK), alongside multiple sold and optioned formats across scripted and unscripted. She has over 30 producing, directing, and showrunning credits and has consulted for companies including Participant, Tastemade, Fuse Media, Monami Entertainment, Jukin Media and Sirens Media.

Val has been featured in Deadline, Variety, Realscreen, Delta Sky Magazine, and more. She was named one of Realscreen’s “Factual Under 40” Rising Stars and is a NATPE Global Unscripted Pitch Competition Winner.

A Yale graduate, Val holds a Master’s degree from UCLA Law in Legal Studies (Media & Entertainment Law) and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. She is represented by April Yuan at Verve Talent Agency.
